OUR MISSION

WE ARE HERE TO:
 

• We recognise that not all dancers or strippers identify as sex workers, but see their job as being an entertainer or a performer. We support everyone's right to identify how they wish.

• For the purposes of this campaign we are adopting the globally recognised categorisation of striptease as falling under the sex work umbrella, a relatively new movement which encompasses working on Only Fans, camming, glamour modelling, sugaring as well as full service.

WE ARE HERE TO:

• Stop discriminatory licensing practices against SEVS

• Claim our rightful place as an authority on our industry

• End all forms of discrimination against the striptease industry and its workers

• Reject the idea of that we are complicit in our own dehumanisation or in violence against women and girls

• Work towards ending violence against women and girls, and to people of all genders

THIS MEANS:

• We hold licensing officers to best  and legal practice in implementing relevant policy and law

• We redress misconceptions and educate people inside and outside of the industry

THIS WILL ENABLE:

• The protection of people’s places of work 

• Keeping workers safe by keeping licensed venues open

• The prevention of striptease being pushed underground

• The promotion of workers rights

• The development of dancer-informed policy leading towards the modernisation of the industry

• The destigmatisation of sex work - erotic or adult entertainment - as a whole
